Versatility...

this year one of my {prairie promises} to myself is to get organized...

i always tend to have piles everywhere i turn...

ugh...

the one thing i *love* about faded finds is their versatility...

old suitcases can be used to store magazines, quilts, or art supplies.

industrial metal bins can be up-cycled to catch all for your mail, altered art supplies, or laundry supplies...

one of my *favorite* storage solution would be metal lockers, they can hold up to anything my little prairie family throws at them, which is a huge must here on the farm...

what new, old, or unique way are you using faded finds to organize this year?

What a great (and beautiful idea.) I have some vintage suitcases from my grandma - I need to put them to better use.

oh yes please... love storing treasures in recycled pieces...and love your suitcases.

I have stacked suitcases as a night stand... and i store Christmas wrap and goodies like that inside....Love old crocks and I'm right with you on the lockers.....

and on getting more organized as well!!

happy friday...xxo, Kim

Just love that image - gorgeous processing. A great idea for reusing old trunks and suitcases. Makes me want to accumulate things so I can justify buying old pieces!

Great photo! Part of my grandmother's teacup collection holds beads on one of my work tables. They look gorgeous and remind me of her.

i love your words 'faded finds' ...
faded, loved, worn and more beautiful than ever!

and ... i love your image ... i believe i wouldn't be able to choose from these beautiful cases ~ i would have to have them all! ; )

i already have a collection of cases and trunks and they all have their purpose to hold everything from art supplies, note paper and cards, ribbons, dreams, memorabilia and even those unsightly cell phone/laptop/cords and chargers are tucked away in a special little case!

i use crocks and jars and baskets and picnic baskets and tin cups ... anything to give these faded loves new life, purpose and function ... : )

thanks for your wonderful post, kristin ~
here's to getting organized!

I have covered baskets to contain some of my clutter. I still haven't found a good solution for my desk, I keep cleaning it and pies keep reappearing. Part of my problem is that if I can't see it, I forget about it. Not sure what will work best for me there.
