I've Got The Blues

While visiting the flea market in Florida last week...
...I was enthralled with this table of blue enamelware.
The seller told me that she was selling her parents things and that all these blue items were a part of their large collection.

That kind of made me sad for a minute as I adore the color blue, and in fact have been collecting blue enamelware and blue and white china for many years.

I wondered if someday my collection of blues would be for sale at the flea market.

And then I realized that if someday my things end up at the flea market....well, that would be wonderful....because they would be available for someone else to enjoy and collect.

It would be great to recycle these treasures ...
to give someone else a chance to find them,
love them and display them.

Even though, collecting things will always be a part of who I am...collecting feelings of gratitude, acts of kindness and bits and pieces of generous spirits has now become much more important.
It is lovely to recycle these collections too!

wow, what a find. Someone had a really beautiful collection. When I look at an antique, I often wonder whose hands it passed through previously.

I actually love the thought that collections can move on to someone else who loves them.

What a fabulous sentiment - to college feelings of gratitude, acts of kindness and bits and pieces of generous spirits and to recycle them ..... I just LOVE this thought. What a wonderful world it would be if we all did this!

And I LOVE the blue dinner ware.
