Nostalgia {Yearning}

times have never been {simple}...

so to yearn for a {simpler} time can't be...

but we can be {nostalgic} for a time where we moved with presence...

where we lived artfully...

we can be {nostalgic} and fill our souls with sepia tones...

we can become cultivators of our own stories...

we can preserve the treasures of our times...

we can become intentional throughout our days...

we can give {simple} appreciation...

and be {nostalgic}...

Great thought provoking post! I too, admire a simple, artful life and strive for that daily. This line of thought reminds me of the first line in Charles Dickens' book, A Tale of Two Cities, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,..... which applies to the present as well as the past. As you point out, artful and intentional living is the key (regardless of time, I believe).

thank you for the affirmation, kristin ...
we can ...
we can be ...
all these things ...
yes, we can!

love your image ~ the natural texture of the barn lines, the field lines and then the fluffy blooms and the smooth, cool old car ... sweet processing! : )
