common thread

hmmmm ...

what on earth could i possibly say ...

what wise and witty words could i possibly weave to inspire you ...

hmmmm ...

wait for it ...

it will present itself ...

hmmmm ...

where are you?

why aren't you jumping up and down in front of me?

hmmmm ...

is this the common thread i have found woven across the land?

wicked winter doldrums? creative stall out? frozen in fear?

hmmmm ...

what can i say to make a difference today?

how can i shoo those doldrums right out the door ...
reboot creativity ...
thaw the thoughts that paralyze ...

hmmmm ...

ahhh ... of course ...

there you are ... simple ... fresh ... uplifting in the day to day ...

a new set of tea towels

: )

your ordinary hangin-at-the-end-of-the-aisle-in-the-market tea towels.

a small and simple thing, i find, that offers a spritely lift in the ho-hum of life

a bit of brightness in the dullest of days

a simple, common thread

we need to sew

...

to live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich;
to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart;
to study hard;
to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never;
in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious,
grow up through the common ~ this is my symphony

~ william henry channing (1810-1884)

Oh my, that is perfect. PERFECT. I have to print that quote out and hang it on my wall. Seriously.
Thank you, my light is shining now, at least a little. :)

Lovely and such a wonderful quote! More than others, one friend of mine notices and enjoys the simple things in life. I believe she is more content than other folks because of it!

Brilliant as always! Sometimes we just need to find that one "thing" to bring a spark of life back to our souls.

Love the quote. One thread at a time, connection to one another's soul. xo

that is a favorite quote of mine, also. Just last night i was working on my blog trying to decide where I could fit it in. :)
I love those simple tea towels also, and the lovely photo you took of them.

Loved the tea towels, such a simple thing that can brighten a room, a mind, a photo. The quote is wonderful and so true.
