Practicing Humor

It’s been busy. Life has begged and asked and demanded. Opportunities have knocked..and I’ve run to answer the door. It’s been both energizing and exciting..and exhausting all at once and the same time. No question or doubt it’s been goodand as I already said it’s been incredibly busy. There’s been no time for anything much else.
But then ..this morning. It’s November. It’s grey. It’s time passing. I asked myself when was the last time I laughed? When was the last time I played?
So today I’m practicing laughter and light. Today I’m practicing humor..for humor’s sake. Today I am not going to take myself and all else quite so seriously. Today when there is no visible sunshine..when the days are getting shorter..when life is only going to get busy-er before it won’t..I’m taking a moment to laughto joketo play..to enjoy.
Why did the turkey cross the road?
To get to the other side.
There is nothing needed more than that. Won’t you join me today..in practicing playfulness and humor? Won’t you share a good laugh??

I love that . . . sometimes we so busy taking ourselves so seriously that we forget to laugh along the way. Laughter is such a wonderful tonic . . . off to go and crack myself up. :0)

Oh yes, I need to laugh myself, too busy lately. I have managed to not get as stressed as usual just before a show, I am just saying no to stress!
But you are so right, you have to laugh.
Your picture made me smile.
Silly turkeys.

In the park across the street from my flat in Delhi there was a group of men who met every morning at 7 for laughter yoga. At first we laughed at them each morning - but you know, I think maybe the got the last laugh. Can you think of a better way to start your day than 20 minutes of laughter?

I love the turkeys! It is so true that we can get so caught up in being busy that we forget to have fun. Thanks for this reminder. :)

Definitely needed from time to time. I truly feel we need 2 lifetimes...one for doing things we need to do, and one for doing things we want to do. One can dream!!
Wonderful post.
