an invitation from your muse

we'll search for beauty and sunshine, song and vision,
bring me a flute and i'll play you a melody,
or toss me a brush and i'll paint you a sunset.

follow me into the morning

i'll fill you with dreams of potential, possibility and promise
as you show me the way to your secret heart,
and the pool of your deepest desire.

follow me into the morning

we'll trail yesterday behind us like ribbons of color,
and draw pictures of golden memories
that call softly to be remembered.

follow me into the morning

i'll whisper secrets of sunshine as told by the moon
while you dance in the day's first spotlight
as i sweep life aside with a broom.

um, those secrets of sunshine that you heard from the moon . . . would those be considered gossip? if so, i'm saving you a seat right next to me. i'll bring 2 brooms to help with the sweeping so we can have longer to . . . um . . . chat.
