awesome post, ivy!

i had the great fortune of having a very talented graffiti artist in my senior year commercial art class who often implemented his style into his design work ~ very cool. i was intrigued so i asked him if he would consider teaching a couple of classes and he did! he explained the various styles and tags and taught us how to create letters, etc. there is quite a fluidity to this art technique and one i marvel at ... and found out i can not do very well at all! ; )

i do love the vibrant colours used and often admire this art form on passing trains especially ... : )

thanks so much, ivy!

Our oldest son moved to Brooklyn nearly 5 years ago; he's a chef in a restaurant in Greenpoint. He has sent similar fabulous wall art images....three near one train stop that I framed. We went to NY almost a year ago, and I collected all sorts of graffiti photos in the Willamsburg neighborhood.

These are so fabulous!
